The Executive Chef role is vital to the success of the restaurant's back of house operations. This leadership position involves managing the operational efficiency and financial performance of the kitchen, including all aspects of food preparation, safety, sanitation, and staff development. The Executive Chef leads a team of culinary professionals, hires top-stage back of house employees, and trains both new and seasoned staff to maintain the highest standards of cooking quality and consistency. They work closely with front of house management to ensure that each meal served meets the restaurant's rigorous quality standards. This role demands a strong combination of culinary expertise, team leadership, and operational management skills to optimize kitchen productivity and maintain profitability. The Executive Chef is expected to implement effective inventory management and cost control measures, utilizing systems such as NBO to forecast guest counts accurately and control waste. Additionally, this role is accountable for continuously improving guest satisfaction by actively responding to food-related reviews and feedback. Leadership qualities such as problem-solving, decision-making, open communication, and fostering a positive work environment are essential. The Executive Chef contributes significantly to achieving sales increases and maximizing EBITDA, ensuring the restaurant remains a leader in the competitive Italian dining sector. Job Requirements

  • Proven experience as an executive chef or in a similar role within the restaurant or food service industry
  • Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse culinary team
  • Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques cooking methods and presentation styles
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and best practices for inventory control
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with staff at all levels
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience is preferred but not mandatory
