Job Description

The Brand Activation Manager role is a temporary position with the team behind Stella Artois, part of the world-renowned Anheuser-Busch family. Anheuser-Busch is a leading name in the beverage industry, known for innovation, quality, and passion in delivering exceptional brands and experiences to consumers worldwide. This role is centered around managing and enhancing the brand presence of Stella Artois through a national sampling program with weekly events in key accounts. As a Brand Activation Manager, you will be the driving force behind successfully executing strategic brand activations, managing relationships with key accounts, and overseeing the operational elements of the brand ambassador team. You will ensure that the brand remains competitive and highly visible through well-planned activation events, sponsorships, and promotions. Your leadership will directly influence sales growth and consumer engagement by guaranteeing that sampling programs are executed flawlessly and metrics are carefully monitored.

The Brand Activation Manager must be results-oriented, self-motivated, and possess excellent organizational and communication skills. This role involves managing a team, handling local budgets, coordinating with wholesalers, conducting event audits, and reporting on event success. You will also be responsible for training brand ambassadors and ensuring they have the necessary tools and materials. The position demands strong attention to detail, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a deep understanding of local nightlife, events, and alcohol beverage laws. This is a full-time commitment requiring availability for nights and weekends, as well as travel for mandatory training.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2-4 years of experience
  • experience in the alcohol or beverage industry preferred
  • experience working in an agency, retail, CPG or CE environment

Job Qualifications

  • Must be of legal drinking age (21+)
  • 2 years of beverage company and/or distributor experience
  • driving is an essential function of this job and therefore you must be able to maintain a valid/current driver’s license
  • must have access to reliable transportation
  • access to a computer with Microsoft Office and home internet access
  • must be proficient in Excel and PPT
  • personal smartphone with the ability to communicate/report while in the field
  • available to work 40+ hours per week, including nights and weekends
  • prior experience with event production and management of teams of brand ambassadors, brand promotion, working with wholesaler and accounts, brand sampling preferred
  • must be able to lift 40lbs
  • must be able to travel for mandatory training at program launch

Job Duties

  • Develop and execute comprehensive activation strategies to achieve sales and brand objectives
  • establish and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and the local wholesaler
  • sell in brand programming to key accounts
  • lead the planning and execution of brand activations, special events, sponsorships, and promotions
  • manage all aspects of Brand Ambassador team including recruitment, training, scheduling, weekly event execution, and reporting
  • provide guidance and support to the Brand Ambassador team to ensure alignment with company objectives
  • local asset management - ensuring Brand Ambassadors are properly equipped with merchandise and materials needed to execute sampling events
  • responsible for activation recaps, metrics, and overall event success
  • manage local budget and budget reporting/reconciliation
  • perform pre-calls and checklists in preparation for sampling events
  • monitor event execution while ensuring all key brand KPIs are achieved
  • submit program deliverables accurately and on time each week
  • knowledge of local nightlife/events and local alcohol beverage laws
  • assist in the analysis of sales and market/territory data
  • responsible for managing events in person
