The Brand Activation Manager role is a temporary position until September 8, focused on elevating the presence and consumer engagement of the NÜTRL and Stella brands. This strategic role plays a critical part in supporting a national sampling program that brings the brands directly to consumers in key market accounts. The position requires an individual who is highly motivated, results-driven, and adept at managing multiple facets of brand activation campaigns.

As a Brand Activation Manager, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing weekly sampling events in important accounts while driving brand presence and sales growth. This role involves managing a Brand Ambassador team, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and reporting, ensuring they are well-equipped and aligned with company objectives. Additionally, the manager will maintain strong relationships with wholesalers and key account stakeholders to promote brand initiatives effectively.

This hands-on position requires excellence in event production, strong leadership skills, budget management, and data analysis to measure activation effectiveness and optimize program outcomes. Candidates should possess prior experience in the beverage industry or related fields, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. The role demands availability for over 40 hours a week, including nights and weekends, travel for training and local market activities, and the physical ability to lift equipment and materials.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2-4 years of experience
  • Experience in alcohol or beverage industry preferred
  • Experience working in agency, retail, CPG or consumer electronics environment
  • Team player who works collaboratively
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
  • Able to be nimble in ambiguity and embrace innovative ideas
  • Effective communication skills tailored to audience
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Proven success in execution and evaluation of sampling programs
  • Experience with recruiting, interviewing, and training Brand Ambassadors
  • Experience in creating weekly schedules for execution
  • Experience with approving team events, recaps, and payroll systems
  • Must be of legal drinking age (21+)
  • Must have a valid/current driver's license
  • Must have access to reliable transportation
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Personal smartphone required
  • Must be available to work nights and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • Must be of legal drinking age (21+)
  • 2 years of beverage company and/or distributor experience
  • Driving is an essential function of this job and must have a valid/current driver's license
  • Must have access to reliable transportation
  • Access to a computer with Microsoft Office and home internet
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Personal smartphone with ability to communicate/report while in the field
  • Available to work 40+ hours per week including nights and weekends
  • Prior experience with event production and management of Brand Ambassador teams, brand promotion, working with wholesaler and accounts, brand sampling preferred
  • Must be able to lift 40lbs
  • Must be able to travel for mandatory training
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Job Duties

  • Develop and execute comprehensive activation strategies to achieve sales and brand objectives
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and the local wholesaler
  • Sell in brand programming to key accounts
  • Lead the planning and execution of brand activations, special events, sponsorships, and promotions
  • Manage all aspects of Brand Ambassador team including recruitment, training, scheduling, weekly event execution, and reporting
  • Provide guidance and support to the Brand Ambassador team to ensure alignment with company objectives
  • Local asset management - ensuring Brand Ambassadors are properly equipped with merchandise and materials needed to execute sampling events
  • Responsible for activation recaps, metrics, and overall event success
  • Manage local budget and budget reporting/reconciliation
  • Perform pre-calls and checklists in preparation for sampling events
  • Monitor event execution while ensuring all key brand KPIs are achieved
  • Submit program deliverables accurately and on time each week including expense reporting, weekly recaps, BA survey audits, and time sheet approvals
  • Knowledge of local nightlife/events and local alcohol beverage laws
  • Assist in the analysis of sales and market/territory data to provide consultation or correction for under-performing accounts
  • Manage events in person
