Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Two to three years driving experience
- CDL Class B license required
- Ability to operate box trucks safely
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Customer service orientation
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions and perform emergency roadside repairs

Job Duties
- Operate safely and in compliance with all established HSSE policies and procedures
- Conduct thorough pre-trip, mid-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles operated, reporting discrepancies immediately
- Load and unload trucks and containers, lift materials, identify, label, count, receive, and issue freight
- Ensure cargo is secured for transport in accordance with applicable local, state, and federal laws
- Operate a box truck to pick up and deliver customer freight in various locations
- Prepare documents for pick-up and provide information to dispatcher
- Pack and ship materials compliant with DOT and hazardous materials regulations
- Maintain good housekeeping standards focusing on care and custody of materials
- Prioritize and complete day-to-day assigned activities
- Maintain telephone or PeopleNet contact with terminal dispatcher to receive instructions
- Perform emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires, light bulbs, and tire chains as required
- Perform all other duties as assigned
