Job Requirements

  • Experience in box office or ticketing management
  • Flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Experience in cash handling
  • Leadership, management, and customer service skills
  • Tolerance and appreciation of diverse cultures, music, and art forms
  • High school diploma
  • Experience in a live environment preferred
  • Experience handling counterfeit cash preferred
  • Familiarity with Microsoft applications preferred
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Effective communication skills

  • Knowledge of counterfeit cash handling preferred

Job Duties

  • Organize/manage daily and nightly box office operations including will call, guest list, ticket sales, and ticket scanning
  • Assist and support box office staff in job functions
  • Ensure a positive and creative team environment within the department
  • Facilitate open communication with box office manager and all venue departments
  • Ensure proper inter-departmental communication and organization
  • Provide ongoing staff training and assist with staff evaluations
  • Assist in ensuring appropriate staffing levels and monitor staff performance goals
  • Recruitment and hiring while following club and theater guidelines
  • Promote superior customer service in guest interactions
  • Participate in on-site venue meetings as needed
  • Ensure adherence to company cash handling policies and procedures
  • Balance and reconcile all seller cash drawers
  • Assist with reconciliation and accounting of ticket sales
  • Manage pricing initiatives such as progressive, platinum, dynamic, and special ticket offers
  • Assist in scheduling employee payroll
  • Conduct band settlements and complete daily ticket counts
  • Create and maintain inventory for ticketed events in a secure environment
  • Monitor and maintain ticketing computers, software, and hardware functionality
  • Serve as secondary representative with Ticketmaster
  • Ensure accurate event information flow to departments and public
  • Modify and update customer database files
  • Develop and maintain call center phone system
  • Interact with artists, record labels, and tour accountants
  • Collaborate with premium seat sales and guest services for ticket management
  • Provide offsite venue coverage including night of show management
  • Ensure compliance with ADA ticket laws
  • Maintain open communication and teamwork across all departments
