Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, sports management, business administration, or related fields
  • 3-5 years of box office or ticketing experience in a related facility
  • knowledge of ticketing software preferably Paciolan
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to work flexible schedules including nights and weekends
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
  • ability to manage budgets
  • experience in customer service management

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business management, sports management, business administration, or related fields
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of increasingly responsible box office or ticketing experience preferably in sports facility, convention center, performing arts facility or multi-purpose public assembly facility
  • Knowledge of stadium, arena, public assembly facility or convention center sales programs
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentations, graphic design, PowerPoint, and internet software
  • Familiarity with Paciolan ticketing software or other ticketing software preferred
  • Knowledge of terminology used in box office and sales settings
  • Knowledge of principles of budget preparation and control
  • Strong communication skills both oral and written
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends, holidays, extended workdays and extended number of days

Job Duties

  • Build all events in the ticketing system including seating manifests, price tables, hold/kills, discounts, pre-sales
  • Oversee all financial reconciliation including daily reports, monthly reports, and event settlement
  • Manage all information being sent and posted through the ticketing system
  • Act as systems administrator for the ticketing system (Paciolan) and liaison between staff, promoters, presenters, and facility
  • Responsible for system upgrades, testing new software, routine maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Prepare ticketing reports and work with tenants on system training and premium ticketing services
  • Update and relay all box-office-related event information to departments and clients
  • Investigate and resolve ticket-related issues
  • Collect all ticket monies, track accounts payable/receivable, prepare sales reports/ticket revenue updates
  • Work with sales and marketing to set up ticket discounts and promotions
  • Oversee Will Call ensuring compliance with ticket laws
  • Process and fill approved charity ticket requests
  • Document all complimentary tickets issued
  • Track attendance including pre-sales, walk-ups, promotions, discounts
  • Process donor seat selection and retention
  • Manage all aspects of customer service for internal and external customers
  • Manage the fiscal budget for the box office department
  • Develop and implement comprehensive ticket sales programs
  • Hire, train, schedule, and supervise box office staff
  • Plan, direct, evaluate, and lead box office personnel
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers
  • Exercise confidentiality and integrity in handling customer information
  • Complete duties with focus on customer service and teamwork
