We are currently seeking a dedicated and motivated Sous Chef to join our team at various global locations, supporting the culinary operations of our premium airport lounges. This full-time role offers an annual salary of $75,000 and includes a robust benefits package featuring health and dental insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid vacation, sick leave, and company-paid holidays. As a key member of the culinary team, the Sous Chef will assist in daily kitchen activities, from food preparation and presentation to compliance with food safety standards. This role demands hands-on involvement, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to maintain a clean, efficient, and well-organized kitchen environment.
The Sous Chef will collaborate closely with the Chef and support team members, including those with limited culinary experience, by providing training, coaching, and simplified guidance to ensure consistent, high-quality food production and service. This position requires strong leadership skills to step in and manage kitchen operations in the Chef's absence while fostering a team environment that encourages growth, efficiency, and outstanding guest experiences. Working in a dynamic and fast-paced airport lounge environment, the Sous Chef will also coordinate with front-of-house teams to seamlessly deliver superior customer service, contributing directly to Swissport’s mission of enhancing the global aviation experience.

Job Requirements
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or senior line cook in a high-volume environment, airport lounge, hospitality, hotel, restaurant, or airport experience preferred
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
- Demonstrated ability to train and mentor team members, including those without prior kitchen experience
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality and consistency
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexible availability including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Support the Chef in the day-to-day kitchen operations, including prep, service, and closing
- Prepare and present high-quality food in accordance with company standards and menus
- Ensure consistent execution of composed dishes
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards
- Assist in inventory management, ordering, and cost control initiatives
- Train, coach, and support lounge team members, including non-culinary staff, to ensure proper food handling and execution
- Provide clear guidance and simplified processes to support team members with varying levels of experience
- Step in to lead kitchen operations in the absence of the Chef
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment
- Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery
