Founded in 1919, the Packers boast a rich history and a dedicated fan base that stretches across the globe. The organization is deeply committed to excellence, community involvement, and maintaining a legacy of sportsmanship and teamwork. As one of the most storied franchises in professional football, the Packers are not just a team but a community institution that values tradition, innovation, and inclusion.
The Packers offer an exciting internship opportunity within their Booking & Event Operations team. This in-person, paid internship is based in the Green Bay office and involves full-time work schedules primarily on weekdays, with occasional nights, holidays, and weekends based on event needs. The internship will run from June 2026 through June 2027, with exact dates subject to change by the Packers. This role is critical to supporting the management and execution of large-scale events hosted at Lambeau Field, ranging from football games to concerts, international soccer matches, hockey events, and WWE shows.
The intern will assist the Manager of Booking & Event Operations in the day-to-day operations of procuring and executing events, involving multiple departments such as catering, broadcasting, facilities, marketing, retail, partnerships, premium sales, security, and ticketing. Responsibilities include taking meticulous notes, conducting research on potential future events, preparing agendas, assisting in logistics and scheduling meetings, and supporting client relations before and during events to ensure smooth communication and seamless event execution.
This role also involves coordinating and planning meetings related to stadium events, performing venue walkthroughs with prospective and existing clients, and maintaining organized digital files for reporting and operational efficiency. The intern will prepare event overviews and detailed Run of Show documents, manage logistical aspects of events such as scheduling and vendor coordination, and stay current on industry trends to suggest innovative enhancements for event experiences. This position demands exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, strong communication abilities, and the capacity to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with diverse teams and high-profile individuals.
Overall, the internship with the Green Bay Packers offers invaluable hands-on experience in sports event management and operations within a prestigious NFL organization, providing exposure to multiple facets of event planning and execution, and the opportunity to develop professional skills in a dynamic, high-energy environment.
