Job Qualifications

  • Medical degree from an accredited institution
  • Completion of psychiatry residency
  • Board certification or eligibility in psychiatry
  • Experience with outpatient and inpatient psychiatric care
  • Ability to provide telehealth services
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in academic supervision and teaching
  • Commitment to veteran-centered care

Job Duties

  • Carry an outpatient caseload seen face to face or via telehealth
  • Staff walk-in acute care clinic as scheduled
  • Cross-cover inpatient consult service and inpatient psychiatry service when needed
  • Obtain and maintain an academic appointment at the University of Washington School of Medicine's Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences
  • Supervise senior resident caseloads and participate in residency program activities
  • Supervise residents on call and round on inpatient ward and consults on call weekends
  • Conduct chart reviews for professional practice evaluation and other requests as assigned
