The company is currently seeking a Back of House (BOH) Supervisor to assist the Kitchen Manager (KM) in presenting a quality-driven and positive environment for both team members and guests. This role is full-time and offers a competitive pay structure with potential growth opportunities. The BOH Supervisor will be responsible for leading kitchen operations during shifts, ensuring that food safety and quality meet or exceed company standards. This includes supervising team members in food preparation, safety compliance, and adherence to company policies. The supervisor will play a key role in enforcing product freshness through proper rotation and temperature checks while facilitating communication of changes in kitchen procedures or menu items. This job necessitates strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and the ability to drive team performance in alignment with the company’s standards. The supervisor is also tasked with performing daily opening, mid, and closing duties, along with training staff on new menu items and kitchen systems.
The successful candidate will possess strong spoken and written communication skills for effective reporting and coordination with kitchen and company management. They must be able to lead shifts positively and maintain high-performance standards by holding themselves and their team accountable. Educational qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, with food safety, state alcohol, and ServSafe Manager certifications required. Bilingual Spanish and English proficiency is highly preferred. Physical requirements include the ability to perform prolonged periods of standing, walking, and stair climbing, as well as occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. Availability during holidays, nights, weekends, and peak periods is mandatory to meet operational needs. Job Duties
- assist the KM or GM to provide direction, coaching, and leadership for all BOH cast members including food preparation and production, safety and sanitation, and company policies and procedures
- ensure the freshness of food products through proper product rotation and quality control
- check food storage and temperatures daily, record the temperatures on the log sheet, and notify maintenance of any issues
- communicate, implement, and follow up on all changes for food products and kitchen systems and procedures if applicable
- perform daily opening, mid and closing operation duties
- attend training for new menu items and train kitchen team members on proper preparation of new menu items
- perform other related duties as necessary or assigned
