Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 21 years of age
  • high school graduate or equivalent
  • previous supervisor experience
  • 2 years’ kitchen or cook experience
  • ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing
  • basic math skills
  • knowledge of menu items, pricing and quality standards
  • ability to maintain focus during stressful situations
  • ability to work independently and with a team
  • physical ability to perform necessary job functions

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 21 years of age
  • high school graduate, some college
  • previous supervisor experience
  • 2 years’ experience in a kitchen/cook role
  • ability to communicate in a satisfactory manner, both verbal and written English
  • ability to compute basic mathematical calculations
  • comprehensive knowledge of all menu and special items, prices and quality standards
  • ability to focus attention to tasks despite frequent stressful or unusual interruptions
  • ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision
  • ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Oversees the daily receiving, storage, and preparation of all food products
  • records all waste (food product) on tracking sheet
  • conducts nightly protein count
  • assists KM/EKM in counting weekly inventory
  • ensures all food products meet company recipe specifications for preparation and quality
  • ensures timing standards are met during production
  • inspects and approves dishes before they go to guest tables
  • examines and assesses quality of ingredients and presentation
  • ensures compliance with health and safety regulations
  • cooks when needed to support the flow of the business
  • defers to manager on duty for business decisions affecting financials
  • completes opening and/or closing duties as assigned
  • follows maintenance program and cleaning schedule
  • notifies management of any pertinent shift activities
