Job Description

Dish Society Heights is part of the renowned Dish Society family, a growing restaurant group dedicated to providing delicious food made from high-quality ingredients, supporting local suppliers, and fostering a positive team culture. Dish Society stands out in the restaurant industry for its commitment to hospitality, pride in food quality, and a mission-driven approach to everything they do. The establishment is known for its vibrant atmosphere where both front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) teams collaborate closely, ensuring an exceptional dining experience for every guest. They emphasize a culture of growth, responsibility, and connection, encouraging team members to develop their skills and advance in their careers.

The role of Back of House (BOH) Leader at Dish Society Heights is a full-time leadership position designed for experienced kitchen professionals who embrace hands-on involvement in food preparation while leading operations behind the scenes. This job is not about standing back and managing from a distance; it requires active participation on the line, leading by example during every shift. As a BOH Leader, you will manage all kitchen operations in real-time, ensuring smooth ticket flow, effective communication, and optimal team positioning. You will also be responsible for training and developing the kitchen staff, enforcing recipe standards, maintaining food quality, and overseeing inventory and ordering.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine leadership with practical cooking duties, empowering leaders to mentor their teams while maintaining high standards for food safety, cleanliness, and efficiency. The work schedule generally includes 45 to 50 hours per week with flexible shifts, covering mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by business demands. Compensation is hourly and based on experience, with details discussed during the interview process. The workplace culture values teamwork between BOH and FOH staff, continuous development, and a purposeful mission centered on quality and integrity.

Joining Dish Society means becoming part of a team that values your leadership and culinary skills, supports your professional growth, and provides benefits including health insurance, 401(k), meal cards for leaders, and wellness programs. If you are a calm, decisive leader who thrives under pressure and is eager to train and grow your team while staying actively engaged on the kitchen line, this role is an excellent match. Dish Society welcomes motivated individuals ready to lead from the front and make an impact with every shift.
