Job Description
Balloon Roof Baking Co. is a vibrant bakery and café located on 6th Avenue, renowned for its dedication to the craft of baking, specializing in sourdough, pastry, and coffee. At the core of this establishment is a philosophy steeped in long fermentation processes, the use of quality ingredients, and meticulous attention to detail in every product created. The bakery has cultivated a warm, welcoming environment where genuine hospitality is as essential as the food itself. This ethos extends throughout their team, who share a passion not only for baking but for creating an exceptional experience for their customers. Balloon Roof Baking Co. prides itself on nurturing a collaborative and supportive atmosphere, where every team member takes pride in their craft and contributes to the overall success of the café.
The role they are currently offering is that of an experienced baker and team leader tasked with overseeing the back-of-house (BOH) operations in a fast-paced, high-volume setting. This position is not just about baking but also about leadership, organization, and systems management. The ideal candidate will be someone who naturally takes charge of the entire production space, focusing on efficiency, cleanliness, teamwork, and accountability. This role requires a hands-on leader who can train and develop team members while managing inventory and daily prep work, ensuring quality standards are consistently met.
Wages start at $30 per hour, with a reassessment after 90 days and opportunities for advancement for those who demonstrate dedication and skill. The bakery is looking for someone who values clear and kind communication, is comfortable handling commercial baking equipment, can lift up to 50 pounds, and has the availability to work early morning shifts and weekends. The successful candidate will become a vital part of the Balloon Roof Baking Co. team, contributing to both the brand's growth and the team’s overall success while fostering an environment of respect, detail, and shared purpose.
