The role of Cake Team Member is a vital position within our Back of House team. This candidate will specialize in the careful execution of cakes, pastries, and desserts, playing a key role in bringing joy and satisfaction to our guests through beautifully decorated creations. The position demands a thorough understanding of confectionary production techniques including scaling, decorating, and the organization of dessert preparation. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a bakery or pastry environment preferred
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Good manual dexterity and artistic skill
  • Ability to work early mornings, weekends or holidays as needed
  • Strong communication skills
  • Willingness to follow safety and sanitation protocols

Job Qualifications

  • Passion for decorating and producing cakes
  • Ability to learn and demonstrate proper confectionary techniques
  • Knowledge of sanitation and food safety procedures
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Previous experience in baking or pastry arts preferred

Job Duties

  • Responsible for scaling, decorating and producing of all desserts, pastries and cakes
  • General knowledge of production methods and organization of confectionary production
  • Learn new products and skills and has ability to demonstrate proper techniques to back of house team
  • Sanitization procedures, maintaining overall cleanliness of workstation
  • Must be able to manage time and skills with strong organization
  • Knowledge of all recipes and procedures of all production
  • Receive, stock, and store food in designated containers and storage areas in an organized manner
  • Inform supervisor when equipment is not working properly and manage when food supplies are getting low
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
