The kitchen staff role is pivotal to maintaining this environment. The objective of this position is to ensure that the kitchen is maintained to a very high level of cleanliness and organization throughout every shift. The kitchen staff will play a crucial role in assisting the entire service staff to enhance the guest experience. This role involves following specific recipes, rotation schedules, and food handling procedures in accordance with our standards to ensure that every food prep item meets quality expectations. A vital aspect of this job is to minimize accidents by following safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques, using appropriate cutlery, wearing non-slip shoes, and handling hot items with oven mitts or dry towels.

This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with the chef and other kitchen members to understand daily work tasks and to complete assigned prep lists on time. The kitchen staff member will need to be versatile, gaining knowledge about all stations within the restaurant and understanding plate presentations and preparation methods for all menu items. Daily communication with line cooks to coordinate pars and production requirements is essential, especially when working in specified stations. This role is well-suited for individuals who are dedicated, safety-conscious, and have a passion for working in a dynamic kitchen environment that values teamwork and customer satisfaction. We offer a part-time or full-time employment opportunity with competitive compensation. Experience in similar roles is advantageous but training will be provided for the right candidate.

Job Duties

  • Communicate with the chef to learn daily work tasks and their coordination and complete daily prep list
  • perform work assignments to meet proper quantities within a necessary time frame
  • be knowledgeable of all stations in the restaurant
  • be knowledgeable of plate presentations and preparations of all menu items
  • communicate with all line cooks daily for proper pars and production requirements when needed in specified work stations
