The role of Boat Detailer / Lot Porter at Skier's Marine is a pivotal one, designed for individuals who are detail-oriented, physically capable, and passionate about maintaining and enhancing the appearance and organization of boats and dealership grounds. This position involves a variety of tasks ranging from thoroughly cleaning and detailing both new and pre-owned boats to ensuring that the lot, docks, and showroom are pristine and well-organized. The Boat Detailer / Lot Porter will also be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of boats and trailers around the lot and showroom, supporting customer deliveries, and assisting with staging and show displays.
This role requires a strong work ethic, the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and a keen eye for detail. Candidates will be expected to handle physical demands such as lifting heavy equipment (over 50 pounds) and spending extended periods on their feet, which are critical in maintaining high standards of appearance and safety. Comfort with outdoor work environments, including around water, is essential.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in detailing or portering preferred
- Physical capability to perform manual labor including lifting over 50 pounds
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Valid driver's license
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Willingness to undergo background check and drug screening
Job Qualifications
- Preferred prior experience in detailing automotive marine or similar
- Physical ability to lift 50 plus lbs and remain on your feet for extended periods
- Comfortable working outdoors and around water
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship
- Reliable self-motivated and capable of working both independently and collaboratively
- Ability to safely maneuver trailers or willingness to be trained
- Valid driver's license is required
Job Duties
- Thoroughly clean and detail new and pre-owned boats both inside and out
- Wash wax buff and restore gelcoat surfaces to a high shine
- Clean and care for upholstery compartments carpets and consoles
- Keep the service and detailing areas pristine
- Adhere to safety guidelines while maintaining detailing equipment
- Efficiently move and position boats and trailers throughout the lot and showroom
- Assist with staging boats setting up displays and facilitating customer deliveries
