Job Description
Located in Tucson, Arizona, this concierge medical practice offers a unique opportunity to work in a vibrant community known for its exceptional quality of life. Tucson is renowned for its affordable living, diverse and culturally rich neighborhoods, and the distinction of being a UNESCO City of Gastronomy. The city boasts a lively arts scene, beautiful desert and mountain landscapes, and ample outdoor recreational activities such as hiking in the nearby Mount Lemmon. Tucson is also home to the University of Arizona, which enriches the local atmosphere with intellectual and cultural vitality. The area is widely regarded as family-friendly and community-oriented, providing an inviting and supportive setting for healthcare professionals.
This position is for a Concierge Physician to join a well-established, physician-led independent practice that prioritizes patient-centered care. The practice serves a panel of approximately 500 to 600 members and emphasizes a healthcare model built around personalized service, extended appointment times, and proactive prevention strategies. Physicians in this role have direct and continuous accessibility to their patients, including 24/7 availability, ensuring a high level of trust and relationship-driven care. The practice philosophy focuses on comprehensive, long-term wellness rather than episodic treatment, allowing physicians to dedicate sufficient time to each patient’s needs.
The concierge physician will provide 100% outpatient care within the framework of the practice. Typical scheduling includes four full days from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and a half-day on Wednesday mornings. Patient volume remains intentionally low, approximately 8 to 12 patients daily, to support detailed and meaningful physician-patient interactions. Standard appointments last 30 minutes, with comprehensive physical exams scheduled for 1.5 to 2 hours on average twice per day. This approach promotes preventive medicine and chronic disease management through continuity of care. The ideal candidate is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician with excellent communication skills and a dedication to patient wellness. Candidates interested in long-term professional growth will appreciate the possibility of joining an ownership track within the practice. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience, reflecting the high level of skill and commitment required for this specialized role.
