The role of Vehicle Technology Specialist at BMW of South Austin is a dynamic position centered around educating and assisting customers with understanding the features and technologies of BMW vehicles. This position does not carry supervisory responsibilities but is vital to enhancing the customer experience by providing detailed demonstrations of vehicle functions and technological advancements. The Vehicle Technology Specialist plays a key role in the early stages of the sales process by greeting customers, determining their preferences, and explaining the specifications and optional equipment available on the current product line. The specialist conducts test drives, provides product brochures, and offers facility tours to familiarize customers with service and parts departments.
Additionally, the role involves conducting technology training classes for current customers to help them fully utilize their vehicles’ features. Collaboration with the sales team is crucial, as the specialist supports the wider sales efforts and contributes to maintaining high Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) scores. Job Duties
- Greets customer and determines make, type, and quality of vehicle desired
- Educates customer on current product line options and basic product specifications
- Provide product information (brochures) for customers when requested
- Demonstrate vehicle features and technology features to customer
- Educate customer on optional equipment available for purchase
- Answers questions about the vehicle, technology, and features
- Conducts test drives
- Conducts facility tours (service, parts)
- Conduct training classes for current customers on technology
- Provides assistance to customers as needed
- Works closely with salesperson
- Supports sales team as needed
- Maintains CSI at or above company standards
- Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area
- Participates in required training
- Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system
- Follows safeguards rules and regulations
- Demonstrates the companys core values
- Complies with company policies and procedures
- Observes all federal, state, local and company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties
