As a well-established player in the hospitality industry, McKibbon Hospitality values both its guests and employees equally, investing in creating a workplace culture that is welcoming, supportive, and growth-oriented.

The Barista-Server position at McKibbon Hospitality is a vital role that blends the art of coffee-making with attentive customer service. The individual in this role is responsible for taking orders and serving food and beverages promptly and professionally, all while embodying the McKibbon Guiding Principles. This role requires a friendly, enthusiastic approach to ensure each guest feels important and valued from the moment they are greeted. The Barista-Server must be well-versed in the menu, offering knowledgeable suggestions and answering questions to enhance the guest experience.

A typical day for a Barista-Server includes greeting guests warmly, preparing and serving coffee and other beverages, and assisting with food preparation and cooking. The Barista-Server also helps maintain an energized and inviting bar atmosphere by providing personalized and friendly service. This position is tipped, recognizing the important customer interaction involved.

Ideal candidates are self-starters who bring a drive to exceed guest expectations and contribute positively to the team environment. They embrace the company culture actively and take pride in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of their work area. Physical stamina is necessary since lifting trays of up to 30 pounds is routine. Barista-Servers must have the legal ability to serve alcohol, understand local alcohol service laws, and be knowledgeable about drink preparation. Certification or education in restaurant business or food safety, as well as alcohol service training, are highly desirable qualifications.

McKibbon Hospitality offers a comprehensive benefits package geared toward the well-being of its employees along with competitive compensation that includes incentives. Full-time associates can benefit from medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, paid time off, tuition assistance, and even pet insurance. Additionally, there are opportunities for financial wellness through 401K savings plans with company matching, referral programs, and ongoing training and career development. The company also supports personal wellness by providing fundraising matching, volunteer opportunities, exclusive hotel discounts, and chaplain services.
