Among its prominent brands, Aloft Hotels stands out for its modern design and vibrant atmosphere, aiming to be a vibrant base for travelers whether they're taking a casual stroll, attending meetings, or visiting friends and family. At Aloft, the emphasis lies not just on the traditional hotel services but on creating meaningful connections and memorable experiences for guests. The company prides itself on embracing the unique fusion of cultures, talents, and experiences of its associates, promoting equal employment opportunities regardless of disability, veteran status, or other protected characteristics.
This part-time, non-management position is located at 191 Dorrance St, Providence, Rhode Island. The role is categorized under Food and Beverage & Culinary, focusing on delivering excellent guest services beyond merely serving food and beverages. The position requires serving as a Guest Service Expert, responsible for various tasks that ensure guests' satisfaction and a seamless operational flow within the hotel. This includes setting tables, communicating with the kitchen, engaging with guests, serving food and drinks, and maintaining cleanliness in work and storage areas. Candidates must be physically active, able to stand, walk, and move across uneven or slippery surfaces, and capable of performing physical tasks such as lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds independently. The role demands agility in reaching high and low places, involving movements like bending, twisting, stretching, and crouching. All responsibilities must be handled professionally, adhering to company standards in safety, quality, appearance, and communication.
Ideal candidates will have at least a high school diploma or a General Educational Development (GED) certificate and less than one year of relevant work experience. No supervisory experience or certifications are required. This position invites confident and outgoing individuals who enjoy breaking the mold and connecting with others to join a dynamic team.
