This job opportunity is based in Las Vegas, NV, offering a competitive hourly wage ranging from $16 to $26 depending on experience. The role is for a Blending Technician responsible for mixing ingredients within blending equipment used in the manufacturing process. The technician ensures the accuracy of ingredient usage and the conformity of finalized blends to stringent specifications. The role is integral to the manufacturing environment and involves learning additional related functions to support production goals. Key responsibilities include operating, cleaning, and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment, ensuring proper labeling and handling of blend materials, and maintaining equipment in organized, functional conditions. The Blending Technician will also document manufacturing processes and follow company policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Standard Operating Procedures diligently. This position requires a physically active individual capable of standing, walking, lifting heavy materials, and performing other significant physical tasks consistently throughout the workday. The technician will cross-train in other production roles to enhance support flexibility and contribute effectively to the company’s objectives. This position is crucial in ensuring the high quality and safety standards that Unicity prides itself on are maintained throughout the production process.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • previous blending experience or food manufacturing experience preferred
  • minimum one year of work experience in a GMP manufacturing environment
  • knowledge of good manufacturing practices, safe quality foods principles, and HACCP preferred

Job Duties

  • Operate, clean and/or troubleshoot manufacturing equipment
  • disassemble, assemble and set up manufacturing equipment as per standard operating procedures
  • utilize GMP practices to protect against contamination and ensure production efficiency
  • work with other blending specialists and associated manufacturing personnel to complete blends
  • properly label and handle all blends and production materials
  • inspect and/or evaluate equipment for wear and tear
  • perform minor equipment troubleshooting and report major repairs to production manager
  • maintain equipment parts and supplies in proper condition
  • perform necessary equipment adjustments to maintain batch record specifications
  • document cleaning, set up procedures, and manufacturing process data in logs and batch records
  • monitor equipment performance to detect malfunctions
  • perform in process sampling according to manufacturing instructions and document results properly
  • maintain a clean and organized equipment and working area at all times
  • verify all official documentation for completion and accuracy
  • complete required tasks related to the operation of the assigned manufacturing area
  • follow company policies, cGMPs and standard operating procedures
  • cross-train in other positions to support production and accomplish company goals
  • follow and maintain the production schedule
