The role available is for a Blending Technician, a key position within the production team. The Blending Technician is responsible for executing the daily blend requirements as per production schedules by manufacturing syrup batches using raw materials such as water, sugar, and concentrate. This process strictly adheres to the company's quality assurance specifications to ensure product consistency and safety. The blending technician plays a crucial role in maintaining the sanitation and calibration of blending and product transfer equipment, ensuring compliance with quality and sanitation standards across the system.

In addition, the Blending Technician handles the receipt of concentrate and sugar shipments by managing purchase orders through the inventory system, supports lab equipment calibration to maintain measurement accuracy, and ensures accurate record-keeping through data entry into the Lab Data Management System. This role demands attention to detail, adherence to standard operating procedures, and the ability to work in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment with varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.

This position offers an hourly pay range of $30.29 to $32.62 depending on experience and follows a 3:00 pm to 3:00 am schedule with a 2, 2, 3, 3 rotation. The environment is dynamic, with noise, wet conditions, and extreme temperatures, requiring physical endurance such as standing for extended periods, walking on the manufacturing floor, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 25 pounds. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • knowledge acquired through up to 12 months of work experience
  • ability to work in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment with seasonal temperatures
  • flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
  • ability to stand for extended periods, walk the manufacturing floor, climb stairs, and lift up to 25 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • knowledge acquired through up to 12 months of work experience
  • hands-on Microsoft Excel experience
  • manufacturing experience
  • ability to follow work instructions and adhere to standard operating procedures
  • understanding of laboratory environment and laboratory practices preferred
  • basic math, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • familiar with High Pressure Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and Gas Chromatography (GC) technology preferred
  • basic microbial knowledge and aseptic techniques
  • ability to multitask
  • basic computer skills

Job Duties

  • Execute the delivery of the daily blend requirements according to production schedules
  • manufacture syrup batches from raw materials including water, sugar, and concentrate
  • ensure adherence to company quality assurance specification requirements
  • maintain blending and syrup tank sanitation requirements to ensure quality and sanitation standards
  • carry out receipt of concentrate and sugar shipments in the inventory management system
  • maintain and calibrate lab equipment to ensure measurement accuracy
  • maintain testing, sanitation, and equipment calibration records and input concentrate and sugar receipts through data entry into the Lab Data Management System
