Job Duties

  • Greet all guests in a courteous and friendly manner
  • Accurately and quickly take, enter, prepare and deliver guest orders according to standards
  • Respond to guest needs and provide the highest level of quality service
  • Assist other associates as needed to meet guest needs
  • Effectively operate micros operating system and cash register
  • Follow all cash handling/POS procedures to ensure accurate closing of all guest checks
  • Answer all questions about menu items, specials, and prices
  • Familiar with preparation methods and ingredients to meet guest dietary/allergy questions
  • Actively up-sell food and beverage items to maximize revenue
  • Monitor and replenish stock of prepared menu items
  • Prepare all food in a timely manner and operate the Turbo Chef according to standards
  • Brew coffee and prepare coffee/other drinks according to the specific recipes
  • Assist bartender when necessary with serving alcoholic beverages and follow local liquor laws
  • Dispose of garbage, pick up trays, re-stock dishes on the line, and clear/wipe down tables and counter
  • Transfer full dish tubs to the dish room and assist as needed with washing dishes
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately and timely
  • Assist with inventory and complete inventory par sheets
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Handle all food/beverage in compliance with regulations
  • Assist in maintaining sanitation and cleanliness of the Bistro, kitchen, and dish room
  • Follow all appropriate procedures for guest/associate incidents
  • Knowledgeable of hotel emergency procedures
  • Produce required volume of work by planning, organizing and prioritizing work duties
  • Adhere to grooming and appearance standards and departmental procedures
  • Attend all required department and hotel meetings
  • Complete all required side work and take initiative to assist wherever necessary
  • Work as a team player and actively contribute to the success of the Bistro experience
  • Responsible for set-up, maintenance, and take down of banquet areas according to function specifications
  • Provide food and beverage service to clients in business or social functions in a friendly manner
