Job Duties
- Greet all guests in a courteous and friendly manner
- Accurately and quickly take, enter, prepare and deliver guest orders according to standards
- Respond to guest needs and provide the highest level of quality service
- Assist other associates as needed to meet guest needs
- Effectively operate micros operating system and cash register
- Follow all cash handling/POS procedures to ensure accurate closing of all guest checks
- Answer all questions about menu items, specials, and prices
- Familiar with preparation methods and ingredients to meet guest dietary/allergy questions
- Actively up-sell food and beverage items to maximize revenue
- Monitor and replenish stock of prepared menu items
- Prepare all food in a timely manner and operate the Turbo Chef according to standards
- Brew coffee and prepare coffee/other drinks according to the specific recipes
- Assist bartender when necessary with serving alcoholic beverages and follow local liquor laws
- Dispose of garbage, pick up trays, re-stock dishes on the line, and clear/wipe down tables and counter
- Transfer full dish tubs to the dish room and assist as needed with washing dishes
- Complete all required paperwork accurately and timely
- Assist with inventory and complete inventory par sheets
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Handle all food/beverage in compliance with regulations
- Assist in maintaining sanitation and cleanliness of the Bistro, kitchen, and dish room
- Follow all appropriate procedures for guest/associate incidents
- Knowledgeable of hotel emergency procedures
- Produce required volume of work by planning, organizing and prioritizing work duties
- Adhere to grooming and appearance standards and departmental procedures
- Attend all required department and hotel meetings
- Complete all required side work and take initiative to assist wherever necessary
- Work as a team player and actively contribute to the success of the Bistro experience
- Responsible for set-up, maintenance, and take down of banquet areas according to function specifications
- Provide food and beverage service to clients in business or social functions in a friendly manner
