Job Requirements
- Valid food handlers permit required
- Valid alcohol server permit optional
- Ability to establish and maintain professional and courteous relationships with guests, staff and management
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, grasp, lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Capability to perform well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours
- Must maintain neat and clean appearance
- Meet attendance requirements with dependability and consistency
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide quickly and accurately
- Must demonstrate excellent communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of culinary or related food-handling experience preferred
- Knowledge of food and beverage products, preparation and handling techniques
- Knowledge of health codes, food sanitation and safety practices
- Knowledge of standard cash handling procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Proficiency with point of sale systems such as Micros preferred
- Ability to serve alcohol responsibly
- Experience working in Marriott brand hotels is a plus
Job Duties
- Maintain efficient and courteous operation of the bistro
- Set up the bistro area for daily service
- Prepare specialty coffee drinks and cocktails
- Perform cooking duties as required
- Clean and organize the bistro area according to company and brand standards
- Provide excellent guest service ensuring an outstanding guest experience
- Handle cash and transactions accurately using point of sale system
