Job Duties
- Presents menu, answers questions, and suggestively sells food and service
- writes orders on checks or memorizes them
- relays orders to kitchen and serves food promptly and accurately
- garnishes and decorates dishes prior to serving
- cards patrons under legal drinking age and refuses alcohol to minors
- uses good judgement not to serve intoxicated patrons
- observes diners to respond to requests and ensure satisfaction
- collects payment and handles cash accurately
- prepares food items such as soups, salads, desserts, and beverages
- bussing and setting tables, and assisting wait staff
- maintains a clean, organized and stocked work area
