The role available is that of a Server Assistant/Dining Room Attendant, a vital position that supports the server team and contributes significantly to the quality of service offered to guests. This part-time position involves working approximately 20 hours per week, with an hourly wage ranging from $16.32 to $20 or more, depending on business volume and tips earned. The Server Assistant’s primary responsibility is to aid the servers in providing seamless service by managing water service during meals and bread and butter service at dinner. Additionally, the attendant ensures that tables are promptly reset and stocked with all necessary items throughout the shift. Maintaining the cleanliness and readiness of the dining room, side stations, kitchen service areas, dish breakdown zone, and service equipment also falls under the attendant’s duties.

This position demands weekend and holiday availability, working varied shifts including 1st and 2nd shifts according to the restaurant’s volume. The ideal candidate must have the ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment, possess strong organizational skills, and show initiative while contributing to a guest-service oriented team. Attention to detail is paramount as the role involves tasks such as removing soiled linens, cleaning and setting tables, replenishing utensils and water glasses, and ensuring compliance with all service procedures and liquor regulations. The attendant plays a crucial role in maintaining a high standard of dining etiquette by supporting servers and enhancing the overall guest experience through proactive service and readiness of the dining environment.
