Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum six months bartending experience
  • Ability to obtain TIPS, ALE and other related training
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to create/follow recipes using proper mixology techniques
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work varying shifts, including weekends
  • Physical ability to lift and carry 25-50 pounds
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness standards
  • Willingness to comply with state liquor regulations

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Additional training/certification(s) preferred
  • Ability to obtain TIPS, ALE and other related training required
  • Minimum of six months experience bartending
  • Ideal candidates will have at least one year of experience
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to create/follow recipes using proper mixology techniques
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering world class internal/external guest service
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills
  • Must be able to engage with wide variety of guests and interact in a friendly and professional manner
  • Proactive, exercises good judgment
  • Can creatively problem solve and anticipate needs of guests

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Must be able to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Ability to quickly acquire knowledge about Biltmore, special activities/events, and Asheville and surrounding areas
  • Must be 21 years of age or older

Job Duties

  • Serve food and beverages in a friendly, efficient manner according to standards
  • Keep bar and public areas neat, clean, and free of debris at all times
  • Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly and maintain positive guest relations at all times
  • Resolve guest complaints/issues to standards, ensuring guest satisfaction
  • Make sure area(s) are properly stocked, prepped, and set
  • Perform opening/closing duties/responsibilities as assigned
  • Create alcoholic beverages in a timely manner following approved recipes
