Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must possess an upbeat positive flexible and enthusiastic personality and be congenial with fellow employees residents and the public
- Must be an honest and dependable individual
- Must maintain proper hygiene
- Must be professional in dress and presentation
- Must be willing to be active during entire work shift
- Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing in Standard English and use own judgment and initiative
- Must be a mature individual
- Must possess the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and perform a variety of tasks often changing assignments on short notice
- Must have strong organizational skills as well as the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Must be detail and team work oriented
- Must attend required in-services and workshops to further education of skills and community requirements
- Must be drug-free and submit to urinalysis drug screening upon hire and routinely
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check upon hire and as required by state regulations
- The employee shall be responsible for maintaining the integrity of Koelsch Communities
Job Qualifications
- Passed an approved food handler's or ServSafe course as required by county state and/or community policy
- Strong communication skills verbally and in writing
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

- Ability to use good judgment and initiative in daily activities

Job Duties
- Prepare Bistro by performing opening and closing duties including setting up necessary supplies and tools
- Perform a variety of tasks related to selling menu items and collecting payment and recording charges
- Protect establishment and residents by adhering to sanitation safety and alcohol beverage control policies
- Restock Bistro daily with required supplies
- Help residents select food and beverages by presenting the menu making suggestions and explaining chefs' daily specials
- Answer food preparation questions
- Transmit orders to kitchen promptly to ensure efficient service to residents and visitors
- Effectively communicate needs of residents and special requests to kitchen staff and Executive Chef
- Greet residents in a courteous and professional manner
- Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor
- Assist with special events as needed
- Promptly address customer service issues and refer residents to management when necessary
- Assist culinary staff with food prep
- Maintain a professional demeanor that encourages a positive nurturing environment for residents families vendors and guests
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor
