The position encompasses a variety of responsibilities, from serving coffee and alcoholic beverages to preparing ingredients and maintaining cleanliness in the food prep and service areas.

Bistro Team Members at Courtyard by Marriott Matthews are expected to master multiple functions related to food and beverage service. They handle customer orders precisely, process payments, and maintain food and beverage stations stocked and clean. Additionally, they perform tasks like busing tables, resetting dining areas, and assisting with general maintenance of the Bistro. Financial responsibilities include counting the cash bank at the end of shifts, completing cashier reports, and following proper cash handling and property control audit procedures.

Fluency in English and the physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds are essential. Job Duties

  • Cleans, sets up, stocks, and maintains work areas
  • takes customer orders, inputs orders into order system, obtains payment and provides change
  • prepares coffee, espresso drinks, and other beverages, including alcohol (during PM shifts)
  • prepares food in a timely manner, according to brand standards, using a rapid cook/hybrid oven
  • provides assistance in food & beverage areas including busing, cleaning and resetting tables
  • performs general cleaning of food & beverage prep areas and other areas within the lobby area
  • counts bank at end of shift, completes designated cashier reports, resolves any discrepancies, drops off receipts, and secures bank
  • other duties as assigned by management
