Job Description

The Receptionist position at YES Prep plays an essential role within the school's administrative operations, providing the front line of communication and support to parents, students, visitors, and staff. This full-time, 11-month role offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $12.75 to $15.85, depending on experience. Reporting directly to the Director of Campus Operations, the Receptionist ensures that the operations, communication, and public-facing aspects of the campus run smoothly and efficiently. Job Requirements

  • At least 2 years of an exemplary record working in a fast-paced office environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Excellent organizational skills including time management and follow-up
  • Strong command of word processing including exemplary spelling and grammar skills

Job Duties

  • Greeting and assisting all incoming parents, students, and visitors
  • Maintaining and administering the telephone system by answering and processing all incoming calls efficiently
  • Maintaining an appealing physical environment including reception area, storage rooms, and conference rooms
  • Assisting in student attendance tracking
  • Providing support for teachers, staff, students and parents upon request
  • Filtering and distributing office mail and faxes
  • Managing and facilitating main office procedures such as supply requests, copy requests, and laminating requests
  • Implementing standards, policies, and procedures for filing and records maintenance
  • Managing daily administrative operations including establishing work priorities and resolving problems
  • Creating school monthly calendars
  • Performing additional duties as assigned
