Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Minimum 2 years experience in a medical office or healthcare environment
- Proficient in use of computer-based practice management software
- Ability to handle high call volume and multitask effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software
Job Qualifications
- Bilingual English and Spanish
- 2+ years of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting utilizing computer-based practice management software
- Excellent customer service and phone etiquette
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access
- Experience with EMR systems such as E-Clinical Works, Epic, Athena Health, or NextGen preferred
Job Duties
- Answer phone calls utilizing a multi-line telephone system
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of all requests by taking appropriate action such as scheduling appointments, taking messages, transferring calls to appropriate staff
- Ensure thorough records are maintained by documenting discussion, messages and actions taken to process inquiries
- Resolve patient issues through independent problem solving with a goal of first call resolution
- Welcome patients and coordinate front-desk activities
- Perform basic administrative, clerical, operational, customer support, and computational tasks
- Manage high call volume while providing exceptional customer experience
