Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 1 year experience as a medical receptionist
  • minimum 2 years customer service experience
  • basic computer skills
  • ability to lift up to 20 pounds
  • ability to work full-time
  • ability to commute to other centers
  • bilingual preferred

Job Duties

  • deliver excellent patient service
  • answer telephone promptly and direct calls accordingly
  • retrieve phone messages and transfer calls as necessary
  • verify patient insurance
  • retrieve all correspondence from all mailboxes and distribute accordingly
  • prioritize the centers business needs and assist other areas as needed
  • schedule appointments, check-in/out patients, and obtain accurate patient information
  • greet patients and visitors courteously and professionally
  • notify appropriate personnel of visitor arrival and direct visitor to correct area
  • perform clerical functions
  • maintain and update directory of all employees in the center
  • notify transportation dispatcher when patients are ready for pick up
  • maintain professional conduct and appearance at all times
  • ensure waiting and reception areas are kept clean and tidy
  • perform other duties and projects as assigned
  • flexibility to commute to other centers
