Job Duties
- Responsible for all front desk functions in a primary care setting
- schedule appointments
- schedule specialty and ancillary appointments
- answer phones
- complete managed care referrals
- obtain pre-certifications when needed
- responsible for patient registration data entry
- verify insurance
- daily batching of encounter forms
- log referrals in the tracking system
- follow up for reports from specialists
- arrange transportation when needed for patients
- assist patients when needed
- review patient's charts and encounter forms for completion
- file reports
- file charts
- perform other duties as assigned
