Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- associates degree preferred
- two to three years of administrative experience preferably in a medical setting
- experience working with Latino community preferred
- excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills in English and Spanish
- knowledge of computer systems including MS Office
- ability to navigate web-based applications

Job Duties
- Performs front desk responsibilities such as answering calls and welcoming visitors
- transfers calls appropriately and updates patient status in EMR
- manages client flow in the clinic
- distributes incoming mail and maintains package log
- makes appointment reminder calls and reschedules as needed
- updates patient information in EMR
- verifies claims completion post-encounter
- serves as liaison between providers and patients by scheduling appointments and providing referrals
- assists with specialty referral processes and confirms appointments
- answers preliminary non-medical inquiries
- ensures intakes and eligibility forms are complete and current
- verifies and collects necessary signatures and documentation
- performs cashier duties including fee calculation and payment collection
- processes payments in various forms and issues receipts
- enters and posts payments and prepares related reports
- utilizes remote deposit banking systems and reconciles daily cash and credit receipts
- schedules cash deposits
- reconciles fees collected for managerial approval
- completes and submits daily CRA reports
- assists with administrative tasks including Maryland Medicaid acceptance
- verifies patient eligibility for Maryland Healthy Smiles
- creates and submits claims for Maryland Healthy Smiles
- orients and trains front desk volunteers
- acts as backup for Bilingual Administrative Assistant in the dental clinic when needed
- performs other job-related duties as assigned
