Job Description
Familia Dental, established in 2008, is a well-respected dental practice located in Racine that has grown rapidly due to its commitment to quality dentistry paired with a caring and compassionate approach to patient care. Our office prides itself on upholding core values such as quality, honesty, and a genuine concern for the health and wellbeing of every individual we serve. We believe in maintaining strong community ties through outreach programs, and we also emphasize internal growth, creating a supportive environment where employees can develop their skills and advance their careers. Joining our team means becoming part of a family-oriented practice that values dedication, teamwork, and service excellence.
We are currently seeking a full-time Front Desk Receptionist to become an integral part of our Racine Familia Dental team. This role is essential in ensuring smooth daily operations at the front desk by effectively greeting patients, verifying insurance information, managing appointment schedules, and handling payments efficiently. The ideal candidate will be outgoing and dedicated, capable of maintaining a positive and professional demeanor in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment. This position offers the opportunity to work with a supportive team while directly contributing to an excellent patient experience. Working hours typically range Monday through Friday from 8:45 AM to 6:30 PM, with Saturday shifts from 8:45 AM to 4:30 PM, requiring 30 to 40 hours per week with full shifts ranging from 8 to 10 hours.
As the Front Desk Receptionist, responsibilities include answering phone calls, scheduling and rescheduling appointments as needed, and maintaining accurate patient records and accounts. A strong understanding of dental insurance plans and protocols is necessary to verify patient eligibility and submit claims correctly. The candidate must have patience and sensitivity to patient emotions, the ability to listen carefully to both patients and healthcare staff, and follow directions from supervisors or dentists. This role also involves ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations, state and federal OSHA laws, and maintaining confidentiality at all times. Participation in morning huddles, chart reviews, and staff meetings is part of the job to foster communication across the team. Our practice values a meticulous approach to record keeping and encourages proactive reporting of any equipment or safety concerns to the Office Manager. We are committed to providing training to ensure all team members are fully equipped to perform their duties to the highest standard.
