We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Beverage Operations Manager to lead our bar team and elevate the overall guest experience. This role is pivotal in overseeing every aspect of bar operations, from sales growth and inventory management to team development and guest engagement. The Beverage Operations Manager will play a critical role in driving sales through local marketing initiatives and promotional activities that resonate with patrons, fostering a lively and profitable bar environment. This position requires a hands-on leader who can manage day-to-day operations, make strategic decisions regarding staffing and vendor relations, and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and organization are upheld.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of experience in bar operations
  • Proven leadership skills in a hospitality setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to manage inventory and control costs effectively
  • Capability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks during shifts

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
  • Minimum 6 months of management experience, along with 2+ years in bar operations
  • Knowledge of bar purchasing and production processes
  • Physical ability to work long shifts, including lifting up to 30 lbs, bending, and standing for extended periods
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken

Job Duties

  • Drive sales through local marketing initiatives and create promotional activities that engage patrons
  • Identify opportunities for enhancing sales and managing costs, alongside developing actionable plans
  • Recruit, train, and mentor bartenders and bar staff, ensuring a high standard of service and performance
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide timely feedback
  • Interact with guests to ensure they receive outstanding service, addressing any concerns promptly
  • Oversee beverage procurement, storage, and inventory management, ensuring quality and minimizing waste
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of bar operations, maintaining high standards for food and drink service
  • Manage shift operations, making daily decisions regarding staffing, scheduling, and guest interactions
  • Proactively anticipate guest needs to enhance their experience
  • Monitor bar equipment and maintain an organized and inviting ambiance
  • Resolve guest-related issues effectively
  • Make vendor-related decisions to ensure high-quality beverage supplies
  • Influence hiring and performance strategies for new team members
  • Achieve guest satisfaction scores that meet or exceed company standards
  • Grow sales to fulfill annual budgetary expectations
  • Maintain adherence to beverage cost, waste, and employee turnover guidelines
