This opportunity is with a reputable beverage management team that operates within a hospitality or entertainment venue setting, likely encompassing bars, special events, and related service environments. The establishment functions with a focus on delivering high-quality beverage service, operational excellence, and exceptional guest satisfaction through well-trained staff and effective management practices. This role is positioned within a dynamic team dedicated to maintaining and enhancing service standards, hygiene, and operational efficiency while introducing innovative concepts to maximize revenue opportunities. The company emphasizes a structured approach to service delivered by a diverse team across all shifts, including night and holiday schedules, fostered by leadership and continuous staff development.
The role offered is a Beverage Shift Manager position during the graveyard shift, a critical leadership role within the beverage management team. This full-time position requires an experienced professional who can oversee bar operations, lead and develop the team, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. The candidate taking on this position will be responsible for executing daily operational strategies, managing product costs and revenues, auditing inventory quality, and maintaining industry standards. In addition to operational oversight, the role demands a hands-on approach to support bartenders, conduct pre-shift meetings, and actively engage with guests to uphold service excellence. The candidate will also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of new drink menus and promotional concepts, improving both guest experience and profitability.
Key responsibilities include directing and training all team members through certified training programs and manuals, managing daily service quality through specific sequences of service, and implementing operational revenue opportunities like pop-up bars and special events. The successful candidate will be responsible for sanitation and health code compliance, rigorous auditing of beverage and food cost controls, and ensuring progressive coaching actions are documented and executed. Moreover, labor management to meet forecast goals, assisting in inventory processes, and leading performance monitoring all fall within the scope of this leadership role.
The role demands a proactive, detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of beverage operations in fast-paced venues. Applicants must be flexible, willing to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays, and possess a minimum of 3 years' experience in beverage management or equivalent combination of education and practical skills. The position also requires appropriate alcohol awareness certification and compliance with age restrictions. The physical demands include frequent standing, walking, lifting, and dexterity requirements while working in environments that may vary in temperature, noise, and exposure to secondhand smoke. Overall, this is a pivotal role offering the chance to influence the success and quality of beverage services within a vibrant hospitality setting.
