The Beverage Manager role at Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino is a key management position responsible for the efficient and productive operation of the beverage department. The position involves overseeing daily departmental activities to ensure compliance with state, federal, and corporate policies and regulations, particularly related to alcoholic beverage service and gaming operations. The Beverage Manager will lead and supervise a team of employees, scheduling work shifts according to business needs, managing costs to align with budgets, and consistently enhancing revenue by analyzing pertinent financial reports and data.

In this role, the Beverage Manager will utilize strong leadership and communication skills to monitor employee performance and provide direction to maintain high service standards. They are responsible for training, counseling, and disciplining staff when necessary, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for both guests and team members. The position demands a thorough understanding of beverage operations, including staffing levels, guest relations, service equipment, and inventory management. Job Duties

  • Oversee work performance of employees to ensure that the proper level of service is being provided
  • Prepare the weekly and daily work schedules based on business flow and events in the Hotel
  • Analyze accounting information and determine if the operation of the department is progressing in a satisfactory direction
  • Analyze all pertinent reports to ensure controlled costs and enhancement of revenue
  • Prepare forecasts and budgets
  • Ensure the smooth running of the Beverage department
  • Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to alcoholic beverage service to minors and intoxicated guests
  • Report all suspicious persons or activities, hazardous conditions to supervisor, Security or Safety personnel
  • Provide instruction and/or guidance for guest/employee safety in fire/emergency situations
  • Abide by all State and Corporate gaming regulations pertaining to the presence of minors in gaming areas
