Job Requirements
- must be able to lift, handle and carry beverage items, supplies, glass racks, smallwares and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- must have a good sense of balance, be able to bend, kneel, stoop, reach and squat on a frequent basis to obtain and store food, beverage items, smallwares and service equipment
- must be able to constantly stand and exert well-paced mobility for a period up to four hours in length
- must be able to communicate effectively and listen attentively to supervisors, employees and guests
Job Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in beverage or bar management, preferably in upscale dining
- strong knowledge of wine, spirits, and mixology
- proven leadership and team development skills
- excellent communication and guest service abilities
- ability to manage inventory, budgets, and cost controls
- certification (Sommelier, WSET, or similar) is a plus
Job Duties
- Develop, maintain, and enhance the restaurant's wine, cocktail, and beverage program
- train and mentor bar staff, ensuring high standards of service and product knowledge
- manage inventory, ordering, and cost controls to meet financial goals
- collaborate with management to create promotions and drive beverage sales
- ensure compliance with all local and state alcohol regulations
- maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers
- monitor trends and introduce innovative beverage offerings
