Job Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent experience
  • 4-5 years relevant front of house hospitality experience
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally
  • Availability to work late nights, holidays and long days
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Proficiency in inventory and sales tracking software
  • Excellent leadership and communication abilities

Job Qualifications

  • College degree or equivalent experience
  • 4-5 years prior front of house experience in a high-volume establishment
  • Experience in various restaurant capacities preferred
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Proficiency with beverage inventory and sales software
  • Knowledge of food and beverage operations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to conduct staff training
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations

Job Duties

  • Order all bar products efficiently-liquor, beer, wine, non-alcoholic beverages and consumables to par and generate POS in BinWise
  • Maintain and build relationships with purveyors
  • Approve purchase journal entries in BinWise for all beverages
  • Monitor sales through Avero software
  • Perform weekly inventory of beverage products
  • Complete weekly cost analysis and flash reports for beverages and consumables
  • Collaborate with culinary department to maintain cocktail base pars and develop specialty cocktails
  • Conduct comprehensive beverage training for front-of-house staff
  • Maintain and update beverage encyclopedia and menus
  • Update daily 86 and low list for staff meetings
  • Coordinate beverage needs for Banquet and In-Room Dining departments
  • Update pricing and product changes in InfoGenisis and Compeat
  • Participate in service operations with management team focusing on beverage sales and coaching
  • Oversee cleanliness and DOH compliance of bar areas
  • Manage hiring, training, and scheduling of bar and cocktail staff
  • Forecast weekly labor requirements
  • Reinforce high-quality service standards
  • Perform nightly manager functions including time clock edits and closing reports
  • Open and close venue as needed
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by General Manager and Jean-Georges Management
