Puesto has earned a reputation for creating an inviting atmosphere where traditional tastes meet modern creativity, fostering a loyal customer base and continual growth in a competitive culinary market.

The Beverage Director at Puesto plays a pivotal role in leading the company's agave-forward beverage program nationwide. Reporting directly to ownership, this strategic and hands-on role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities that are essential to the successful operation and expansion of the beverage program. The Beverage Director will oversee the curation of tequila and mezcal selections, pioneering margarita innovations, and managing beverage profitability through precise cost of goods sold (COGS) control and pricing strategies. This role also entails regular travel to ensure each location adheres to the brand’s standards, guaranteeing execution consistency and superior margin performance across multiple units.

As a leader, the Beverage Director is responsible for cultivating strong vendor partnerships, negotiating supplier agreements, and leading a team of Bar Managers to uphold excellence in beverage service and program implementation. They will also spearhead seasonal cocktail development to keep the menu fresh and engaging, ensuring recipe consistency across all establishments. In addition, the position involves overseeing the beverage aspects of new store openings, further contributing to the brand’s growth and presence within the agave and cocktail communities. With the integration of technology tools like Toast POS and CTUIT, the Beverage Director will monitor reporting systems and standardize inventory management across locations, using data-driven insights to optimize operations and boost profitability.

In essence, the Beverage Director at Puesto is a key player in shaping the company’s future in the competitive hospitality industry, combining expertise in agave spirits, financial acumen, and leadership skills to elevate the brand’s beverage offerings. This role is ideal for a motivated professional with progressive leadership experience in multi-unit settings, a passion for agave beverages, and a desire to make a significant impact through strategic oversight and innovative program management. Puesto offers a collaborative environment where creativity and excellence are encouraged, positioning the Beverage Director to thrive and contribute to the brand’s ongoing success and recognition in the industry.
