The role available is for a Porter, an integral position responsible for the cleanliness and presentation of all vehicles on the lot. This full-time position involves maintaining both the exterior and interior conditions of vehicles before delivery to customers, ensuring that each automobile meets the dealership's high standards of appearance. The Porter also plays a vital role in the smooth operation of the dealership by conducting deliveries of vehicles as needed, running errands such as picking up customers or mail, and assisting with various tasks that ensure the lot remains orderly and efficient. Attention to detail is essential, as the Porter must check vehicles for any damage at the end of workdays and confirm that all cars are securely locked. This role requires strong multitasking abilities, effective communication with supervisors, and the initiative to seek additional work proactively. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Ability to talk and listen regularly
  • Able to sit and use hands to handle or feel regularly
  • Able to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally
  • Able to stand crawl reach and use stairs occasionally
  • Ability to travel occasionally
  • Valid Texas driver’s license
  • Must maintain a clean driving record
  • Pass background check
  • Pass drug test
  • Must be 21 years-old or older

Job Duties

  • Clean interior and exterior of new and used vehicles including trunks and glove compartments
  • Keep vehicle lot neat and orderly moving units as directed by sales manager and in accordance with dealership display standards
  • Pick up and deliver vehicles as needed
  • Pick up customers or drop them off as required by sales department
  • Perform buildings and grounds maintenance as needed
  • Assist with shop clean-ups and deliveries
  • Attend required training sessions
  • Deliver and pick up vehicles and handle new vehicle processing
  • Complete assigned tasks accurately and timely
  • Follow all directives from supervisor or manager
  • Proactively seek additional work and provide updates to supervisor
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
