The role available at Hotel Valencia Santana Row combines the responsibilities of both Valet and Bellman. This dual position requires an individual to serve as the first point of contact for guests arriving at the hotel, providing a warm welcome and assisting with luggage handling. The position demands frequent guest interaction at the forefront of hotel operations, requiring excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to customer service. Candidates should be enthusiastic, courteous, and ready to contribute to a positive and memorable stay for all visitors.

This position involves a range of duties, such as welcoming guests, transporting luggage, providing guests with information about the hotel and local attractions, handling messages and deliveries, and supporting hotel operations by maintaining a clean, organized work area. The role requires adaptability to perform both valet and bellman tasks, including assisting with vehicle services. There is an emphasis on teamwork, safety awareness, and maintaining the hotel’s high standards of guest service.

The working environment is primarily outdoors, with occasional work inside the hotel, requiring the candidate to be comfortable with varying weather conditions. The role is physically demanding, involving standing and walking for extended periods, as well as lifting and pushing heavy items like luggage and carts. Shifts for this position are available from early morning to late evening, including overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays. Job Requirements

  • valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
  • customer service experience a plus

  • ability to lift and carry guest luggage weighing up to 50 pounds

Job Duties

  • welcome guests to the hotel and expedite the handling of luggage
  • pick up and deliver dry-cleaning for the guests
  • provide information on local attractions, room features, hotel facilities
  • deliver messages and/or packages to meetings and guest rooms
  • attend required meetings
  • keep work areas clean and organized
  • be extremely courteous to all customers and fellow employees
  • report unsafe conditions to your supervisor immediately
  • maintain hotel equipment in proper working conditions
  • assist valet staff with a clean driving record
  • perform any other duties assigned by immediate supervisor
