Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • one to three months related experience and/or training
  • valid driver's license held for at least one year
  • approved driving record
  • ability to stand at least 8 hours a day
  • ability to run up to 200 yards 50 times a day
  • ability to enter and exit customers vehicles 75 or more times daily
  • ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds without assistance
  • ability to communicate effectively
  • ability to read, write, and speak English
  • ability to work in hot, wet, humid, and loud environments
  • ability to perform repetitive motions
  • able to work in standing position for long periods
  • compliance with company safety and security policies
  • ability to provide high customer service levels

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • one to three months related experience and/or training
  • ability to interact with guests using hospitality standards
  • ability to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers
  • ability to follow instructions and apply common sense
  • knowledge of local community and events is a plus
  • ability to maintain confidentiality of proprietary information

Job Duties

  • Greet all guests upon arrival
  • open doors and assist guests/visitors entering and leaving property
  • assist arriving and departing guests with luggage promptly
  • assist guests in and out of transportation
  • maintain security of vehicles and vehicle keys
  • promote all hotel functions and facilities
  • monitor and direct personal and commercial vehicle traffic on property
  • assist departing guests to their transportation
  • communicate parking procedures to guests/visitors
  • maintain the cleanliness of the valet area
  • assist guests with general information
  • monitor and maintain safety, security, and cleanliness of parking areas
  • identify and explain room features to guests
  • provide guests with directions and information about amenities, services, and local attractions
  • maintain knowledge of the community and local events
  • follow all company policies and procedures
  • transport guest luggage to and from rooms
  • follow safety and security policies
  • assist individuals with disabilities
  • thank guests with genuine appreciation
  • speak clearly and professionally
  • develop positive working relationships
  • comply with quality assurance standards
  • stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • move, lift, carry, and place objects up to 50 pounds
  • polish and clean bell carts daily
  • check and secure guests luggage
  • perform other duties as assigned
