Job Requirements
- Registered Nurse licensure
- Associate Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 60 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 60 months of employment start date
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 60 months of employment start date
Job Qualifications
- Registered Nurse
- Associate Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 60 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification obtained within 60 months of employment start date
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification obtained within 60 months of employment start date
Job Duties
- Assess patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management, including reassessments after appropriate intervention
- Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s)
- Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner
- Respond promptly to patient requests and strive to anticipate patient needs proactively
- Teach patients, families, and caregivers about patient medical condition, treatment plans, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about non-medicinal follow-up measures such as healthy diet, exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes
- Prepare patients and families for future self-management
