Job Requirements

  • Registered Nurse licensure
  • Associate Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 60 days of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 60 months of employment start date
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 60 months of employment start date

Job Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse
  • Associate Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 60 days of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification obtained within 60 months of employment start date
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification obtained within 60 months of employment start date

Job Duties

  • Assess patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management, including reassessments after appropriate intervention
  • Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s)
  • Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner
  • Respond promptly to patient requests and strive to anticipate patient needs proactively
  • Teach patients, families, and caregivers about patient medical condition, treatment plans, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers about non-medicinal follow-up measures such as healthy diet, exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes
  • Prepare patients and families for future self-management
