The role of Bellperson at Azul Hospitality is a vital front-line position responsible for greeting guests upon arrival at the hotel, delivering outstanding first impressions through courteous and efficient service. This position requires assisting guests with luggage handling, escorting them to and from their rooms while informing them about the facilities and safety features the hotel provides. Beyond these duties, Bellpersons support other departments by transporting supplies and boxes, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the valet stand and bell carts, and ensuring the guest vehicle valet service is safely and promptly executed in compliance with traffic laws. The Bellperson must have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interact professionally and warmly with guests while handling multiple responsibilities. Candidates must demonstrate physical stamina, including standing for extended periods and managing heavy lifting tasks up to certain weights as required. Previous hospitality experience is preferred but not mandatory, while a valid driver license and adherence to strict driving and safety standards are essential for this position. Azul Hospitality requires Bellpersons to uphold company grooming and attendance standards rigorously while fostering a positive team environment. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicles
  • At least 25 years old to operate shuttle vehicles
  • Minimum of 3 years full-time verifiable driving experience
  • No positive drug or alcohol tests including pre-employment, random, post-accident, or reasonable suspicion
  • No more than 2 moving traffic violations in the last 36 months
  • No speeding violations over 25 MPH in the last 36 months
  • No DUI convictions within the last 5 years
  • No record of vehicular homicide, manslaughter, or assault
  • No operating a vehicle with suspended or revoked license
  • No involvement in felonies using a vehicle
  • No reckless driving or speed contests
  • No leaving the scene of an accident with bodily injury or damage
  • No eluding police officers
  • No use of cell phones while driving violations
  • Must be able to stand and move for up to 4 hours
  • Able to lift 45 lbs and push/pull carts up to 250 lbs
  • Must maintain grooming and uniform standards
  • Regular attendance and compliance with company policies required

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior hospitality experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to operate motorized or electric vehicles safely
  • Basic computer skills including familiarity with Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, PBX, and POS systems
  • Strong organizational and detail-oriented abilities
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand workplace language proficiently
  • Valid driver license meeting company insurance requirements
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Welcome and escort guests to and from their rooms and assist with luggage
  • Inform guests of all safety features and promote hotel outlets
  • Offer information on hotel services, facilities, and local attractions
  • Store guest luggage upon request and assist with loading/unloading automobiles
  • Call taxis for guests as requested
  • Prepare and maintain tour and delivery paperwork and supervise group baggage transfers
  • Maintain check-in station appearance and organization
  • Assist with transporting boxes and supplies for other departments
  • Promote a positive work environment and follow employee handbook procedures
  • Maintain cleanliness of valet stand, driveway, bell closet, and carts
  • Safely operate guest vehicles between valet and parking areas following traffic laws
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management
