The position offered is critical within the hospitality industry, specifically for professionals skilled in guest relations and operational support. This role primarily entails greeting and welcoming arriving guests as they enter the hotel, assisting both arriving and departing guests with luggage handling, and ensuring a positive first impression of the hotel's quality and service standards. The role involves escorting guests to and from their rooms, informing them of safety features, and promoting hotel outlets and amenities when time permits. Additionally, the position requires storing and handling guest luggage upon request, assisting with vehicle loading and unloading, calling taxis, and managing related paperwork to uphold operational standards.

Candidates will be expected to maintain the check-in station's appearance and organization, promote a working environment that supports teamwork and employee handbook compliance, and engage in cleanliness and maintenance tasks related to the valet stand, driveway, bell closet, and carts. Operative functions include safely operating guest vehicles from the valet area to parking locations and returning vehicles when guests require their pick-up. The candidate should demonstrate excellent customer service skills, communication proficiency, and be capable of working independently and as part of a team.

The role demands physical stamina for tasks such as standing for extended periods, lifting and pushing heavy items, and maneuvering in limited spaces. The ideal candidate will possess basic computer skills, operational knowledge of hotel management systems, and an ability to effectively manage multiple responsibilities under a busy hospitality setting. Compliance with safety and security policies is mandatory, as is the ability to maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance in line with Azul Hospitality's grooming standards.

This position requires candidates to meet specific age and driving requirements due to the responsibilities involved in operating motorized or electric vehicles for guest transportation. Applicants must have a minimum of three years of verifiable driving experience with no significant traffic violations or incidents. A valid driver’s license and adherence to company insurance policies are essential. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 25 years old to operate shuttle or drive guests
  • Must be at least 21 years old to operate own or company vehicles other than shuttle
  • Minimum of 3 years full-time verifiable driving experience with similar vehicles
  • No positive drug or alcohol test including pre-employment, random, post-accident or reasonable suspicion
  • No more than 2 moving traffic violations in the last 36 months
  • No speeding violations exceeding 25 mph over the speed limit in the last 36 months
  • No DUI conviction in previous 5 years
  • No vehicular homicide, manslaughter, or assault convictions
  • No operation of vehicle with suspended or revoked driver’s license
  • No use of vehicle in commission of a felony
  • No operation of vehicle without owner’s permission
  • No reckless driving or speed contests
  • No leaving the scene of an accident with bodily injury or damage
  • No eluding police officers
  • No operating a cell phone while driving violations
  • High school or equivalent education
  • Ability to provide and maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Must maintain neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
  • Must comply with company policies and attendance standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior hospitality experience preferred
  • Excellent customer relations skills
  • Good communication skills including verbal, written, and electronic communication
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, PBX, Key system, and POS
  • Ability to speak, read, write and understand the primary workplace language
  • Detail oriented with outstanding organizational skills
  • Valid driver’s license and meet company insurance requirements
  • Ability to work independently and self-driven

Job Duties

  • Welcome and escort guests to and from their rooms and assist with luggage
  • Inform guests of all safety features and promote outlets when possible
  • Offer information about hotel services and local attractions
  • Store guest luggage upon request and assist with loading and unloading luggage
  • Call taxi for guests as requested
  • Prepare and maintain tour and delivery paperwork and supervise group baggage transfers
  • Maintain check-in station appearance and operational effectiveness
  • Assist other departments with transporting boxes and supplies
  • Promote a positive working environment and follow employee handbook guidelines
  • Maintain cleanliness of valet stand, driveway, bell closet, and carts
  • Operate guest vehicles safely between valet area and parking
  • Complete all other duties assigned by manager or supervisor
