The Porter/Valet position reports to the Front Office Manager or Rooms Manager and serves as a crucial frontline ambassador between the hotel and its guests. Under general supervision, this role involves providing valet and porter services that ensure guests enjoy a welcoming, comfortable, and memorable stay. Responsibilities include greeting guests upon arrival, assisting with luggage transport, parking and retrieving vehicles, and responding promptly to guest requests for amenities such as laundry or newspapers. The position demands a friendly, professional demeanor that helps create positive first impressions and enhances the overall guest experience.

The Porter/Valet position requires someone dependable and tactful who embraces the hospitality and art ethos of 21c Museum Hotels. Candidates must be able to operate both manual (stick shift) and automatic transmission vehicles, and flexibility is key with working hours including nights and weekends. The role involves considerable physical activity, such as lifting luggage up to 70 pounds and maneuvering luggage carts, plus the stamina to stand, walk, and climb stairs during shifts. Job Duties

  • Clean lobby areas and entrances maintaining debris-free environment
  • assist other employees and departments for overall performance
  • greet and assist guests unloading and transporting luggage
