Bell / Valet Attendant - 1st / 2nd

As part of their commitment to excellence, 21c Museum Hotels is looking for a dedicated Porter and Valet to join their team. Reporting to the Front Office Manager/Rooms Manager, this position plays a vital role in ensuring guests experience comfort and satisfaction from the moment they arrive until their departure. The role focuses on providing professional porter and valet services, assisting guests with luggage, delivering amenities promptly, and maintaining the cleanliness and welcoming appearance of the hotel entrance and lobby areas. The ideal candidate will be attentive, courteous, and enthusiastic about 21c’s mission to provide unique, art-driven hospitality experiences.

This position requires a proactive individual who can work flexibly during nights and weekends, ready to contribute to the overall performance of the department and the hotel. The Porter/Valet will often be the first and last point of contact for guests, making their role critical in creating positive first impressions. Responsibilities include greeting guests, assisting with luggage, parking vehicles safely, promoting hotel services, responding to guest requests, and maintaining a friendly demeanor at all times. The candidate must be comfortable driving vehicles with manual (stick shift) and automatic transmissions, with training provided to gain proficiency.

Physical stamina is essential, as the Porter/Valet must be capable of lifting luggage up to 70 lbs, standing and walking for prolonged periods, and operating luggage carts. This role also demands a clean and professional appearance, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask efficiently while being attentive to guest needs.
