The role of a Guest Services Associate at Northern Quest Resort and Casino is vital in creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all visitors and employees. This position focuses on greeting guests sincerely and professionally from the moment they arrive until they depart, ensuring every interaction reflects the resort's dedication to outstanding customer service. The Guest Services Associate provides a variety of support functions that include assisting guests with luggage, vehicle parking, and guiding them through the property while sharing knowledge about the resort’s amenities and local area. This position requires adherence to strict internal controls, policies, and procedures set forth by the Kalispel Tribe of Indians and Northern Quest, emphasizing safety, security, and guest confidentiality.

Successful candidates for this role will demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills, a genuine concern for guest satisfaction, and the ability to handle special requests with professionalism and promptness. They must be capable of effectively communicating with guests, employees, and management to contribute to a seamless customer experience. Additional responsibilities include the operation and care of vehicles, the coordination of valet services, and supporting other departments by sharing relevant information to enhance service delivery. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a high-end, four-star/four-diamond hotel or a similar luxury hospitality environment, possess computer literacy including Microsoft Office proficiency, and hold a valid state driver's license.

Job Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain Kalispel Tribal Gaming License
  • Must have valid state driver’s license while on shift
  • Must be insurable by the company insurance carrier
  • Available and willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Hepatitis A and B vaccinations required
  • Ability to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to communicate verbally in noisy environments
  • Ability to perform repetitive wrist and hand movements
  • Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods
  • Ability to ascend or descend stairs and ramps
  • Ability to perform stooping and occasional crouching
  • Required specific vision abilities including close and distance vision, color vision, and focus adjustment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience in a four star/four diamond hotel preferred
  • Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft programs
  • Valid state driver’s license
  • Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles
  • Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships
  • Ability to present information effectively
  • Ability to comprehend and write simple correspondence
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Ability to interpret bar graphs and compute ratios and percentages

Job Duties

  • Ensure compliance with Kalispel Tribe of Indians internal controls and Northern Quest Resort and Casino policies and procedures
  • Provide exceptional customer service and conduct oneself professionally
  • Greet guests and co-workers sincerely with smiles and eye contact
  • Assist guests with vehicle and hotel entry, luggage, parking, and directions
  • Escort and direct guests throughout the property
  • Provide prompt luggage service and guest room orientation
  • Park and retrieve guest vehicles as required
  • Handle keys and valet ticket distribution according to procedures
  • Maintain safe and proper usage of vehicles and equipment
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions immediately
  • Work collaboratively with team members to uphold service standards
  • Address guest special requests efficiently
  • Answer questions about the hotel and promote resort services
  • Share information with other departments to support their success
  • Maintain cleanliness of the hotel’s front entrance
  • Ensure guest confidentiality and protect company assets
  • Maintain good attendance record
  • Distribute resort information materials
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management
